What is Pickleball?
Pickleball is a paddle sport that combines elements of tennis, badminton, and ping-pong using a paddle and plastic ball with holes. It is a game that is appropriate for players of all ages and skill levels. Rules for pickleball are simple, making it a great introductory sport. It can also be quite the challenging, fast-paced, and competitive game when people become more experienced at playing.
Why is Pickleball So Popular?
There are many reasons for pickleball’s popularity in recent years. Here are just some reasons why the USA Pickleball Association (USAPA) calls the sport, “highly contagious”.

Because pickleball rules are so similar to ping-pong, it can be easy for practically anyone to learn how to play the game. David A. Ruth … aka DAR, has been an active member of the Pickleball community since 2015, when he found and fell in love with the sport during his travels as a video producer. His addiction to the game became apparent over the next 6 years as his attendance at Pickleball courts throughout his travels became increasingly frequent and he began developing his skills and ability to prepare to compete. After traveling throughout 2015, David and his family landed in the Annapolis, MD area, home to some great Pickleball players such as Ben Johns, Colin Johns & Paul Olin. Annapolis is where the addiction really took hold as he quickly found the Annapolis Pickleball Club and immersed himself in the Annapolis area Pickleball community. 2016 was the year David entered his first Pickleball tournament in the Annapolis, MD area and struck Gold! Since then David has scored several tournament medals won at a 4.0 level. David is a people person and loves the social aspect attached the the sport of Pickleball, as a fierce athlete for most of his life in Basketball and Tennis, he appreciates some good competition to keep him growing in the sport... it's his calm, cool and collected style… that keeps him having fun on and off the court. David is a PPR Certified Coach, he is excited about teaching and coaching the game of Pickleball and looks forward to working with YOU on YOUR game.

I believe in the K.I.S.S. system (Keep It Simple Silly) . Have fun, Be Competitive and ...HAVE FUN! Pickleball REALLY is easy to learn and you can move at your own pace.... it's a comfortable sport to grow with!
